While there are plenty of hotels and Airbnb properties in and around Hartford to fit all budgets,

we have reserved a block of rooms at The Goodwin Hotel, located in Downtown Hartford at a discounted rate. You are free to stay anywhere you'd like, but we recommend staying in Hartford city center due to it's proximity to the airport, fun activities, and variety of dining options

Hartford has easy access to public transportation, buses, taxis and ubers, perfect for exploring historic areas and hidden gems

Travel tips

One of the best things about the states in the Northeast is that they're all close together! If you have time you can easily take a day trip to Boston, MA, New York City or Newport, RI

One of Zahra's favorite locations in Hartford, the roses bloom all summer with peak season in mid-june, it's also the perfect place to grab a coffee and relax under a shady tree

The Mark Twain House & Museum

The former home of the famous author Samuel Clemens also known as Mark Twain. This restored Victorian mansion, completed in 1874, showcases Twain's life and work through exhibits personal artifacts. It's a must-visit for literature enthusiasts, highlighting the inspiration behind his timeless stories

The Mystic Seaport Museum

The Mystic Seaport Museum in Mystic, CT, showcases New England's maritime history with tall ships and historic buildings. The charming waterfront town of Mystic is known for it's quaint shops, delicious seafood restaurants and of course Mystic Pizza, famous for slices and featured in the 1988 film
